Phil Davis began his career in Real Estate Development in 1987 having spent the previous 9 years in the construction industry. While working as the Director of Construction and Coordination for a Tennessee based developer Phil managed and supervised new commercial developments including the Richmond Mall, in Richmond, KY, the Stones River Mall in Murfreesboro, TN, Towne Square Shopping Center and Hunting Hills Plaza in Roanoke, VA, The Market Place in Christiansburg, Virginia, Embassy Crossings a mixed use development in New Port Richey, Florida, Fowler Square in Tampa, Florida, Pensacola Square in Pensacola, Florida and Battlefield Plaza in Springfield, Missouri. Upon his return to Kentucky, Phil managed the development of a large shopping center in eastern Kentucky which included Lowe’s, Winn-Dixie, Goody’s and Heilig-Meyers. In 1994 thru early 1995 Phil was project manager on three developments for the US Army Corp of Engineers including the Administration Building and Locomotive Repair Building at the Bluegrass Army Depot and the Administration Building at the Laurel River Dam. Phil came to May Commercial Group in 1995 where he has worked with Mr. May in the placement of nearly 100 Lowe’s Home Improvement stores from California to New York. While at May Commercial Group Phil has worked with developers and tenants such as Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, Cracker Barrel, Staples, Office Depot, Kohl’s, Steak n Shake, National Business College, Lifestyle Communities, KFC, Peoples Exchange Bank, Arby’s, Murphy Oil and Schlotzsky’s Deli among others. Phil has a wide array of responsibilities at MCG which include, overseeing due diligence activities, managing properties, management of new development and negotiating documents. Phil is a licensed KY real estate broker.
